Cui Yonghui met with a delegation from Aizu Wakamatsu,Japan

On July 9, 2017, a friendly relationseminar was held between Jingzhou of China and Aizu Wakamatsu of Japan.

This is the 26thanniversary of friendly relation setup between Jingzhou and Aizu Wakamatsu ofJapan. From July 9 to 11, Arisarita Tehe (室井照平), mayor ofAizu Wakamatsu, and Muhei Zhangsanlang (目黑章三郎), speaker ofAizu Wakamatsu legislative body, led a delegation of 12 people to visit ourcity, with the goal to promote the two cities' cooperation on health,education, tourism, and strengthen and develop the two cities communication.

 

On July 9, 2017, at the friendlyrelation seminar between Jingzhou of China and Aizu Wakamatsu of Japan, mayorCui Yonghui gave his speech.

Mayor Cui Yonghui, Chen Aiping, vice president of Jingzhou Municipal People'sCongress Standing Committee, Li Jiabao, vice president of Yangtze University,Xiang Bin, deputy mayor, and Chen Bin, secretary general of Jingzhou Municipal Government,participated in the seminar.

The friendly relation seminar was held on the afternoon of 9th. Cui Yonghui said atthe seminar that he was glad to have friends from afar. Jingzhou people are always hospital, righteous and kind.On behalf of the 6.6 million Jingzhou people, he warmly welcomed thedelegation.

 Cui Yonghui said that China and Japanare separated with only a narrow strip of water. Since the friendly relation ofJingzhou and Aizu Wakamatsu was set up 26 years ago, the two cities have exchanged and cooperated in various fields including medical and health service,education, and tourism, which not only strengthened the friendly relation butalso achieved substantial results. He hoped this seminar will expand thecooperation. Cui Yonghui said thatthe 1,000 sakura trees given by your city in 2001 for the 10th anniversary ofthe two cities' friend relation setup, have grown into big trees and become afamous tourist spot for Jingzhou people in spring, witnessing the people's friendly relation of the two cities. He believesthat under the mutual efforts of the people from China and Japan, the twocities' exchange and cooperation future will blossom like the beautiful sakuraflowers.

 Arisarita Tehe (室井照平) said that ever since the friendly relation setup in 1991, there has been frequentdelegation visits between the two cities. I want toexpress my thanks to Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, because it wasthrough your support that such exchanges were successfully conducted. We have made substantial exchanges today, and I believethat through such exchanges, the two cities can deepen their understanding ofeach other and expand their exchange and cooperation area. He also hoped that the relation can be further promoted through close people-to-people exchanges.

 

Jingzhou-Aizu Wakamatsu Trainee Seminar

 At the seminar, Jingzhou Health and Family PlanningCommission, Jingzhou Culture and Tourism Commission, and Yangtze University respectivelypresented the topics of medical trainees dispatch and medical exchanges,ancient city protection projects and tourist delegation mutual dispatch, andacademic exchange with Aizu University.

On 10th, the delegation visited Jingzhou No. 1 Hospital, Jingzhou Central Hospital.
