The cooperative agreement between JHZL Industrial Co., Ltd. (JHZL) and Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) took effect on January 8, 2014.
With a history of nearly 90 years, Cessna under Textron Inc. is the world's largest general aviation aircraft designer and manufacturer. It has delivered 220,000 aircrafts, the most in the world. In February 2013, JHZL participated in a Cessna-organized bid, stood out of over 20 bidders from across the world after nearly 10 months' competition, and concluded a long-term cooperative agreement with Cessna. Under the agreement, JHZL will manufacture aircraft parts like passenger seat, crew seat and engine support, which will be installed on the world's best-selling Cessna 172, 182, 206 and TTx single-engine piston aircrafts and 280 multi-purpose single-engine turbo aircrafts.
The project has passed AS9100 international aviation quality system certification and the pre-mass-manufacture special process audit, the special tooling provided by Cessna has arrived in Jingzhou as scheduled. As one of the emerging strategic industries of high-end manufacturing in the national "twelfth five-year" plan, general aviation tops the list of high-end manufacturing industries. As a manufacturer of key parts of oceangoing vessel diesel engines and military products, JHZL has formed a complete industry chain from material and blank production, machine manufacturing to product delivery.
