On the morning of March 28, the fifth session of Jingzhou Peach Blossom Party was solemnly opened in Taohua village of Taihu Gang in Jingzhou District. Greeted by the warm vernal breeze, many residents with their families and friends came to Taohua village to watch peach blossoms and programs and feel the breath of spring.

Based on advantages of the main urban area, Jinzhou District is mobilizing resources throughout the district to build a core area of cultural tourism actively, taking developing countryside tourism as an efficient carrier of “industry interconnection and rural-urban interaction”. Using the tourism brand of the peach blossom party, Jingzhou will further explore a road for integrative development of agriculture, tourism and culture with flowers as media and friends making through music. With the aim to promote the waist-building project, make countryside tourism stronger, upgrade agriculture and facilitate the leaping development. The party was held to show an open, civilized, beautiful and affluent new Taoyuan through a series of activities, boost new high-tech achievements in agriculture and build new Jingzhou.

In recent years, Jinzhou District took peach blossoms as media and really made enough efforts in leisure agricultural tourism featured with “blossoms”, which provided guidance for farmers to increase their incomes and made contributions to upgrading the image of Jingzhou. The two-day peach blossom party not only offered practical and frugal theatrical performances at the opening ceremony, also prepared a variety of activities including folk performances, agricultural science and technology service, food tasting, academic seminars, investment promotion, photo contests, employment and recruitment, fun challenges, Karaoke singing together, etc.
