The 14th session of Hubei Provincial Games will be hold in Jingzhou this October. In order to demonstrate the striving and bodly looking forward spirit of Jingzhou people, the national alpinist, also the local Jingzhou athlete, Liu Yong will climb the world's highest peak-the Everest with the Flag of 14th Session of Hubei Provincial Games, and cheering for the Upcoming Provincial Games. It is the first time that Jingzhou people challenge the Everest. On the morning of 9thApril, the grand departure ceremony of this activity was hold in Sanonda Plaza.

The Mount Everest towering into the sky has always been the Holy land for people to prove the climbing capacity and conquering the nature. Since the first success of climbing the Everest on May 29, 1953, many climbers from all over the world including China have left their footprints on the Everest. In recent years, not only the professional alpinist but also amateur climbers challenge the Everest successfully in China. From this very day onward until May 2014, Liu Yong will climb the world's highest peak-the Everest via the South Colroute. It is the first time that Jingzhou people challenge the Everest and his magnificent feat will definitely rewrite the climbing history in Jingzhou.
