The two-day Central China Tourism Expo wrapped up on May 20. The expo had nearly thousands of booths. How can Jingzhou build its own characteristic to attract visitors nationwide?
Jingzhou pavilion is against the backdrop of the ancient city wall, which has most Jingzhou characteristic. The exhibition hall door features vermilion palace of the state of Chu. The bright-colored lacquers like tiger seat and phoenix frame are placed in the central pavilion, and exquisite pavilion design let visitors feel like going through the state of Chu, which existed 2300 years ago. Accompanied by ancient music of Chu played by string and chime, the actors dressed in ancient Chu costumes are dancing. The flowing sleeves and the unique “three bends “of Chu Dance add beauty to each other. They sometimes rotate, and sometimes like phoenix leaping, looking elegant and having cultural deposits. Tourists coming to Jingzhou Pavilion are overwhelmed and take out their mobile phones and cameras one after another to take pictures and do photography, lingering on there. Xing Xiaolu, a dancer, from the Academy of Arts of Yangtze University told reporters that they spent three months choreographing the Chu dance. How can they show static cultural relics with dynamic dance forms?
During the reality show of Tiger seat and phoenix frame drum, the two dancers play the role of two phoenixes at Tiger seat and phoenix frame drum. The two Phoenix sometimes sang, and sometimes fly high. They make those artifacts suddenly become alive. The program with innovation and cultural deposit makes the Jingzhou Pavilion more attractive.
By combining culture of three kingdoms, the Jingzhou Pavilion organize nine kids to do cartoon show. It integrates the well-know stories like Oath of the Peach Garden, Liu Bei’s marriage and three heroes (Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei) fighting Lv Bu into the joyful cartoon shows, which makes the Jingzhou Pavilion more popular. According to statistics of the Municipal Bureau of Culture & Tourism, Jingzhou Museum has attracted more than 30,000 visitors during this exposition.
