Co-organized by State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Hubei Provincial People’s Government and Wuhan Municipal People’s Government, 2014 Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China (The 14th Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing Conference) was hold in Wuhan on June 23 thru 25, 2014. The delegation of over 3000 consisting of the overseas Chinese professionals, overseas Chinese leaders, overseas Chinese businessman from over the world, and representatives from central cities and provinces, attended this event. Jingzhou city also attended the event and successfully signed 3 projects with the total contract volume of 790 million yuan.

It is understood that the 3 projects that Jingzhou signed are respectively: the complete set of machinery and valve production base project with the investment of 200 million yuan by Singapore businessman Mr. Mao Shiqing, the large commercial complex project of Zhongshang Department Store with the investment of 400 million yuan co-operated by Hongkong Land Company and Wuhan Zhongshang Group Shashi Department Store Chain Branches, and the biomass power generation project in Jingzhou District with the investment of 190 million yuan by Malaysian Chinese Merchant Group.

In order to ensure the implement of the project, the relevant departments such as Jingzhou Municipal Foreign and overseas Chinese affairs bureau, Jingzhou district, Shashi District and Jingzhou City Development Zone will continue handle the track, supervision, coordination and service work of the contract signing and project matching.
