“Phoenix Crown stands up to welcome the guests”. Three stadiums with innovative design are raised off the ground in Shabei New District. Overlooked from high altitude, the main stadium looks like a disc. Looked straight forward, its appearance strongly resembles the head crown of ancient Chu people (Chu is one of China’s ancient dynasties, and located in Jingzhou region). Chu people (ancient Jingzhou people) believed in phoenix(Chinese: 凤(feng)), therefore the main stadium of Jingzhou Sports Center is named as “Feng Guan”(or Phoenix Crown). The natatorium and comprehensive competition hall become symmetry on a central axis. The structure of stereo squares likes wings, firmly supporting the main stadium to operate smoothly and stably. It is said that Jingzhou Sports Center Stadium has a total construction area of 26,337 square meters, with a total number of 6,060 seats. The stadiums mainly undertake the basketball, volleyball and other sports events of the 14th Provincial Games. The construction of stadiums has entered the final home stretch. The sports floorings are basically laid and the sports facilities are being installed.
Jingzhou Stadium adopts advanced automatic facilities.
