On July 27, Jingzhou Wanda Plaza held switch-on ceremony; on July 28, Jingzhou Zhuoer Town opened; on August 2, Jinyuan Century City was in fund-raising… during the first half of this year, the city construction has been accelerated; nine projects with total investment of RMB 50 billion Yuan have attracted business magnates to capture Jingzhou market. All of the above promotes the one-hundred-year commercial port to restore its vitality with commercial logistics upgrading.
The statistics showed that nine commercial logistics projects mainly focus on Wanda, Greenland, Zhuoer, Century Golden Resources, Yiwu Small Commodity City, Brandmont Central China Industrial Park, Zhuyeshan Auto World, Red Star Macalline and Central China Aquatic Products with total investment amount of RMB 49.9billion Yuan. So far, the investment amount of these 9 projects has been accumulatively completed RMB 10.255 billion Yuan.
Industry and city realize co-fusion so as to eliminate Industrial Island. As Jingzhou Development Zone lacks commercial support housing, it was called “Industrial Island” before; meanwhile, staff’s life was very inconvenient, which had been denounced by enterprises in the park for a long time. In March of this year, Golden Resources Century Town with investment of RMB 20 billion Yuan was started to build to forge the new commercial regions and provide support facilities for manufacture and life of enterprises in the park; in July of the same year, Jingzhou Wanda Plaza was completed, which became the first fourth-generation urban commercial complex. The Agricultural Bank of China, postal savings banks and other financial and insurance institutions moved into here one after the other, which not only improved business state of Jingzhou, but also promoted its service industry and building economic upgrading.
Urban complex construction is accelerated. Since March of this year, there have been 11, 000 workers toiled away and 98 tower cranes worked at the same time at the construction site of Golden Resources Century Town with total investment of RMB 20billion Yuan. On night of July 27, Wanda Plaza outside of the eastern gate of Jingzhou ancient city was with full of glorious and colorful light, Wanda International Shopping Center was officially completed with total investment of RMB 3.5 billion Yuan, which was the third project of Wanda Group at cities of Hubei province. Driven by these urban complex projects, in the first half of this year, Jingzhou’s real estate industry finished investment amount of RMB 14.48billion Yuan, with year-on-year growth of 83.5%, accounted for 17.8% of investment rate, and namely, being with year-on-year growth of 5.8%, which became one of important factors of pulling the city investment increase.
The center of the whole city moves toward north and embraces high-speed rail economy. For many years, business in Jingzhou city has been always limited to the scope of “West main canal and ancient city wall”. Hankou-Yichang High Speed Rail being opened to traffic became the tipping point of Jingbei New District construction. Meanwhile, Shanghai Greenland grasped the first chance and it invested RMB5.5 billion Yuan to build “the window of Greenland” and embrace the business economy brought by high-speed rail. Red Star Macalline followed and invested RMB1.2 billion Yuan at the surrounding area to forge living new city. Jingzhou Hospital, Jingzhou Middle School and other support projects that “gathered in the narrow” ancient city before also moved to the new city. Yiwu Small Commodity City, Nanguo Public Clothes and other business projects gathered in Shabei New District. All of these above causes the center of Shashi urban area to move the north. The rising of Jingbei New District and Shabei New District creates conditions for the evacuation of ancient city and promotes the cultural tourism economy development.
Businesses from different fields converge to forge logistics center. On July 28, Jingzhou Zhuoer Town with total investment of RMB 12billion Yuan was open to the public and abstracted more than 300 Hankou brand merchants to enter collectively. On the first day, more than one thousand shops were rushed to purchase. Jingzhou Lante Group next to the Zhuoer Town with total investment of RMB 2.5 billion Yuan forges national freshwater products and its purpose is to make all the advantage resources of agricultural products in Jingzhou networking. Brandmont Group planned Hardware & Electrical project and other five businesses here; Zhuyeshan Commerce City forged the Auto Commercial Carrier; all of these above enterprises value the logistics business opportunities brought by Jingzhou transportation advantage.
Hankou-Yichang High Speed Rail, Menghua Railway, Yichang-Huangshi High Speed, Jingxiang Expressway, 318 National Highway, 217 National Highway and other roads converge into Jingzhou. The site selection of airport has been started and Jingjiang River Channel improvement is smoothly promoted. Water, road, air and high speed rail transportation create significant traffic advantages for Jingzhou and abstract many big commercial logistics projects to enter into here.
Build the city to benefit the people. Add good relaxation places for citizens. Many business projects enter into Jingzhou, which not only promotes the business transformation, but also makes the city be higher and stronger. Based on this and taking advantage of Provincial Games, our city invested a lot of funds to powerfully push the urban infrastructure construction and make it be with great taste. With several years of construction, Binjiang Park with RMB 0.26 billion Yuan was completed and open in the last month. Mingyue Park with investment of RMB 0.25 billion Yuan, Jingxiang River Wetland Park, Taishiyuan Park, Yuqiao Park and other newly built or reconstruction projects are being accelerated. Sports center and Olympic Sports Center in Jingzhou and ancient city fitness center have been fully put into use. “Half-hour fitness circle” of urban residents is ready to come out.
