On the morning of September 20 ，the 14th Hubei Provincial Games (the national fitness adult class of peasants) and the 7th Hubei Provincial Peasants Games grandly opened in Gong’an County National Gym Center. It was hosted by Hubei Provincial Government and presented by Hubei Provincial Agriculture Department, Hubei Provincial Administration Bureau of Sports, Jingzhou Municipal People’s Government and Hubei Provincial Association of Peasants Sports. Over 600 athletes, coaches, judges from 17 city prefectures of Hubei gathered together in Gong’an County to attend the competition of entertainment track and field and dragon dance.

Mrs Liang Huiling, the Vice-governor of Hubei Province, announced the opening of the Games. 

 Mr.Dai Guizhou, the head chief of Hubei Provincial Agriculture Department and the chairman of Hubei Provincial Association of Sports, delivered the speech.

Mrs. Lin Xiaohua, the vice director of Hubei Provincial Administration Bureau of Sports, hosted the opening ceremony.

Mr. Li Jianming, the mayor of Jingzhou city, delivered a welcome speech. 


It is learnt that the 2 items of entertainment track and field and dragon dance will produce 39 gold medals, among which 34 gold medals from entertainment track and field, 5 gold medals from dragon dance. About 33 athletes from Jingzhou team will attend the games.
