Jingzhou Vocational Education Development Steps into New Stage



On Oct 28th, Jingzhou Vocational Education Group announced its establishment at Jingzhou Institute of Technology, which marked the new development stage of vocational education in our city.

As shown by data, every year Jingzhou city outputs more than 20,000 professional talents of different fields, and the solid professional skills are preferred by enterprises. In order to break through the bottleneck of unreasonable structure of vocational education and weak cooperation between college and enterprise in Jingzhou, in accordance with the Opinions on Promoting Collectivization of Vocational Education by Hubei Provincial Education Department, the municipal government approved the establishment of Jingzhou Vocational Education Group and appointed Jingzhou Institute of Technology as initiator for its building.

Jingzhou Vocational Education Group is a municipal united non-profit social organization. Bonded by professional development, the organization focuses on college and enterprise cooperation and aims to improve workers quality. Enrollment to the organization is based on equality, mutual benefit and negotiation. At present, there are 134 members in the group, among which there are 12 government organizations, 7 higher education institutes, 14 secondary and higher vocational institutes, 94 enterprise and public institutes and 7 research institutes and industry associations. In the following, Jingzhou Vocational Education Group website and operation mechanism are to be built for resources sharing and group foundation construction enforcement.

On that day, five professional vocational education groups of auto, software, decoration, accounting and tourism were set up under the initialization of secondary institute of Jingzhou Institute of Technology.
