In this year, it will be guaranteed for port & waterway engineering construction to close investment of RMB 1.2 billion, and strive for 1.3 billion, which sets new history record. At the same time, in 2015, the city will complete waterway fees and charges collection of RMB 20.4 million, port cargo handling capacity as 31,000,000 ton, container handling capacity as 108 thousand TEU.

In order to ensure achievement of the above goal, the municipal port & waterway marine dept will give priority to the project reserve of “one port and ten districts”. It is to guide new projects to gather at encourage development area, and ensure second phase of Jingzhou Douhudi district Zhujiawan mix wharf project start for construction, first phase of Hubei Jingzhou coal train & waterway transportation combination reservation base project, and Jingzhou development area industry mix wharf project start for construction. Preliminary work of 6 projects as Yanka grain depot, and Songzizhongha should be well managed.

It is learned that municipal waterway transportation achieved accumulated fix assets investment as RMB 0.95 billion in last year, which increased by 2.15% compared with previous year. During the twelfth Five Year Plan period, investment of RMB 3.881 billion had been realized within four years, which completed investment goal ahead of time. There was 2 port & waterway construction project newly started, and 26 projects under construction. Most of the key port & waterway projects made in the twelfth Five Year Plan started for construction. Accumulated waterway transportation load achieved 54,271,700 ton, port cargo handling capacity as 28,503,000 ton, container handling capacity broke 100,000 TEU for the first time, which increased by 116%, 8.84%, 6.83% respectively.
