The total length of Shashi-Gong’an Highway is about 36 kilometers, which starts from Guanyindang Town of Shashi district, crosses with Hanyi part of Shanghai-Sichuan Highway, passes Chenhe, Zishi,Jiangbei farm to the south, superposes with Jingzhou Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge in Majiazhai of Jiangling County, crosses over Yangtze river to Yangjiachang in Gong’an county. It plans to be finished in 2017. When it’s finished, it will become a new Yangtze River Channel.
