In the morning of Jan. 11, after the closing meeting of the first session of the fifth Jingzhou People’s Congress, the newly-elected national staff pledged allegiance to the Constitution. The newly-elected director of the fifth standing committee Li Xinhua led the oath. In the oath-taking ceremony, 78 newly-elected national staff members placing the Constitution text over their chest with left hands, raising a fist with right hands and facing the national emblem, solemnly pledged allegiance to the Constitution. Some of NPC members witnessed the oath-taking ceremony.
