Ministry of Agriculture Promote Green and Efficient Rice Cultivation Technology in Jingzhou

On 26th, Oct, the Agriculture Technology Pilot and Service Support Project of Ministry of Agriculture conducted field observation and practical operation in Jingzhou, the related officials from Hubei Provicial Agriculture Department, Huazhong Agricultural University, Agricultural Science Academy of Hubei and other Agricultural department of Hubei main rice-growing areas, and representatives of new business entity, visited Sanhu Farm in Jiangling county, carried out on-sight research on yield of ratooning rice and the technical training .
In Sanhu Farm, guided by the requirements of Ministry of Agriculture and Hubei Provicial Agriculture Department about piloting green and efficient technology of “Rice-Regeneration Rice-Fertilizer” and “The Harmony Coexistence between Rice and Lobster”, they applied the technology of green control of disease insects, reduction of fertlizer and pesticide, and widely-used high yield re-generation rice, gave consideration of both high yielding and green efficiency, solved the existing problem of high labor intensity, abuse of fertlizer and pesticide and low efficiency.
All experts presented confirmed that this project made positive contributions for enviromental protection, advancing green development of agriculture, increasing farmers’ income, promoting the supply-side structural reform of agriculture, stablizeing the grain production, and improving the grain quality.
