The National Development and Reform Commission have approved to construct new Jingzhou Civil Airport. The total investment amounted to 1.196 billion yuan, among which 226 million yuan belong to central budgetary investment arranged by National Development and Reform Commission, 440 million yuan of civil development special fund arranged by Civil Avail Administration of China (CAAC), and the rest capital will be undertaken 50% respectively by Hubei Provincial Government and Jingzhou City Government. The project is expected to meet the target design of annual output of 700 thousand passengers and 2450 ton cargo handling capacity, with 4c level of flying rating.
