On the morning of November 22, 2017 Campus Football Championship for High School Students of Hubei Province was opened in Jingzhou Olympic Center, andover 1,000 football players of 39 teams from all over the province raced for the championship in Jingzhou.
He Ming, Deputy Director of National Youth Campus Football Work Leading Group Office;Zhang Jinyuan, Deputy Director of Hubei Provincial Department of Education;Sun Yuqiu, Deputy Mayor of Jingzhou City;Wen Yi, Vice Chairman of Jingzhou CPPCC and Director of Jingzhou City Department of Education and Sports; as well as leaders of relevant departments directly under the Province, relevant leaders of municipal and prefecturaleducation bureaus of the whole province, relevant leaders of education departments of the counties, cities and districts,the school representatives and all participating teams attended the opening ceremony.
Zhang Jinyuan delivered an opening speech and announced the opening of thechampionship.Zhangsaid that a strong sportsmanship leads to a strong country and a thriving sportsmanship leads to a thriving country. In recent years, the educational front of the Province has attached great importance to the work of campus football and achieved remarkable results in the aspects of characteristicschool construction, education and teaching, competition activities, after-class training and condition guarantee, in the hope offurther improving and developing the institutional mechanisms of campus football and school physical education in all localities and schools, and establishing a competition system featured by rich contents, strict discipline and stable competition rules, carrying out a wide range of sunshine sports activities, creating distinctive brands of school sports and campus football, and giving full play to theeducational function of school physical education tomake positive contributions to the development of adolescent physical and mental healthand overall development.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Sun Yuqiu said that in recent years, Jingzhou City has given full play to the advantages of teaching and learningintegration, innovated its working mechanism, vigorously promoted "Football into Campus" andcomprehensively created a new situation in the city's youth sports work. The championship has built a good platform forthe teenagersto experience the passion of football and enjoy the fun of football and added new passion and new vitality for the campus football sports of the city.Sun also expressed thatJingzhou wouldmake the football championshipinto a high-quality, high-level youth football event with high morale and the spirit of excellence.
The guest attending the opening ceremony kicked off for the opening game of the championship which is Hubei Jingzhou High School vs.Daye No.1 Middle School.
At the opening ceremony, students from many schools of Jingzhou also present wonderful campus football and sports event shows.
The championship, hosted by the Hubei Provincial Department of Education, Hubei Administration of Sport and organized by Jingzhou City Bureau of Education and Sports, is designed to further promote the provincial campus football event and improve the school footballlevel.Thechampionship is divided into senior high school boys’ football, senior high school girls’ football, junior high schoolboys’ football and junior high school girls’ football. It is from November 22 to 28 and the closing ceremony will be held on the afternoon of November 28.
