It was seen by reporter at theconstruction site of Jinan Culture and Tourism Area, a scenic spot with ahistory of eight hundred years, that King Wu Corridor had taken initial shape.So far, 70% of its construction has been finished while the surroundingfacilities, square, and fountain are about to be completed.Tan Biaoyong, head of the project, introduced that, the main contents of “Eight-hundred-year Chu Kingdom” project include: roads andsquare engineering, green construction, landscape water, landscape building, sculptures,and landscape bridge. By now, surface vegetation and aquatic plants in southernarea has covered an area of about 53,000 square meters; about 85% of thecomprehensive pipe net has been finished; and 65% of the construction of ChuwuSquare, Pijing Square, Wuwang Square, and Qiangchu Square has been finished.
According to the requirements forwarded by the Work Report of Hubei Provincial People’sGovernment, in 2018, JinanCulture and Tourism Area will accelerate the construction of China-Germany Ecological Demonstration City. Covering aplanning area of 14.7 square kilometers, China-Germany Ecological DemonstrationCity will own a population of 200,000. By learning German advanced ecological metropolitan construction idea and technology, this project will be built into a touristresort demonstration zone which would be good for living, travelling and doingbusiness. So far, the planning of China-Germany Ecological Demonstration Cityhas been formulated and entered into the stage of comprehensive implementation.The main road within the city has basically been finished while the greene cological landscape has been gradually formed. Engineer Huang Yingshuang of the Construction Bureau of Ji’nan Culture and Tourism Area expressed that, Ji’nanCulture and Tourism Area had already kept in touch with Frey ArchitecktenGroup, Wilo, Oventrop, and Wacker and now been negotiating with them to discusscooperation in terms of water pollution treatment, green energy technology, andbuilding energy-saving equipment.
Huang Yingshuang introduced to launch the construction oftwo demonstration projects next step, namely Jigong Mountain Relics Park, andJing Chu Cultural Park, to promote the completion of China-GermanyEcological Demonstration City, and to strive to build an international leading ecologicaldemonstration area in 2020 involving five aspects including ecologicalenvironment, green transportation, green building, sustainabilityestablishment, and low-carbon demonstration community.
It is said that, in 2018, Ji’nan Culture and Tourism Area willfocus on promoting the reconstruction of Jingzhou ancient town invested by OCTGroup, and facilitating a group of major culture and tourism industrialprojects such as Suishiwan Cultural Park with an investment of RMB 3 billionfrom CITIC Group as well as the Exhibition Center of Yunnan Metropolitan Construction Investment Group.
