The reconstruction and extension project of the Jingzhou Section of China National Highway 318 has been one of the major projects of Jingzhou to improve itsoutbound traffic conditions in urban area and release the transit pressure inurban area in recent years. The construction of Changhu Grand Bridge, a major node project, is accelerating the construction of its main piers for it is nowbeing in its construction prime so as to lay a solid foundation to realize the whole line connection.

Changhu Grand Bridge adopts the suspended structure, two-way 4-lane on the bridge with aprojected speed of 80 kph. Site Supervisor Yang Yulong of Changhu Grand Bridgefrom CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd introduced that, the pilefoundation of the bridge had been completed in October 2017; its substructure had been completed in December 2017; box girder erection had been steadily promoted. There are 432 prefabricated box girders in total. At present, the early preparation work of No. 25, No. 26, and No. 27 cast-in-place box girder in mainpiers has been stepped up.

The reconstruction and extension project of Changhu Grand Bridge in China NationalHighway 318, with a planned investment of RMB 130 million, has completed RMB 85million, remaining RMB 45 million. So far, its upper structure has been under full construction and all works have been advanced so as to ensure the bridge to be fully linked as scheduled.

Changhu GrandBridge, starting from Guanju Town of Shashi District in the south to Ji’nanEco-cultural Scenic Area in the north, is a dominant engineering of thereconstruction and extension project of the Jingzhou Section of China National Highway 318. It spans the Changhu Lake with a full length of 1,781 meters.After completed, it will greatly relieve the traffic pressure in urban area inJingzhou, accelerate the construction of Ji’nan Eco-cultural Scenic Area, andexpand the urban development space.
