From April 15 to May 5th, the 123rd China Import andExport Fair (Canton Fair) has been held in Guangzhou in three phases. Thereporter was informed that the 13 Jingzhou companies which participated in thefirst phase had already achieved intention orders surpassing USD 10 million.
As a wind indicator of Chinese foreign trade, Canton Fair has been alwaysan important platform for Jingzhou’s foreign trade companies to explore international market. Jingzhou companies that exhibited in the first phase of Canton Fair were mainly engaged in automotive accessories, chemicals, energy,and machinery. According to the elementary statics, during the period of the first phase, these companies were seeing more than 1,500 overseas businessmen from countries and regions such as US, Canada, India, Malaysia, Brazil, Chile,and Saudi Arabia and sent out more than 2,000 promotion materials and name cards, achieving intention orders of more than USD 10 million in total.
Exhibitors said generally that, although the total number of audiences had decreased slightly than that of the previous years, the number of high-quality customers and professional buyers was increasing while the exchange became deeper and the cooperation intention became much stronger. Besides, there were more than 30 clients who had been considering performing field investigationsin Jingzhou on production situation and discussing detailed cooperation issues.
It is said that the Canton Fair of this year covers an overall exhibition area of 1.185 million square meters with 60,475 booths and 25,171 overseas exhibitors. In order to provide better services for companies, before the fair, Jingzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and CCPIT Jingzhou Sub-Council (Jingzhou Chamber of Commerce) took active measures to do well in policy promotion and knew the current situation of companies to encourage them to explore international market via the Canton Fair and facilitate the foreign trade developmentof Jingzhou.
