The launching ceremony for Traditional Craft Workstation of Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University in Jingzhou, also the Seminar on Lacquer Culture convened recently.It is understood that the workstation will be located in Yangtze Vocational College of Art and Engineering, and this vocational college will become the base for cooperation between enterprises and schools, students training and creation, product design. The Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University will support the construction of non-material cultural heritage discipline subjects and instruction system in YangtzeVocational College of Art and Engineering, assist training and demonstration guidance, explore the innovation of traditional craft inheritance, transfer the developing model of traditional craft from folk inheritance to the modern vocational education inheritance, as well as assist the development and the transformation of non-material cultural heritage products. The cooperation aims to construct a system of protection, inheritance, innovation and development for Chu Lacquer, upgrade Jing-chu traditional craft level and build Chu Lacquerbrand.
