2018 is the 20th anniversaryof victory against floods in 1998. It was known by reporters yesterday that Jingzhou Management Administration of Yangzte River hosted the Photo Show with the theme “Course ·Heroic Poetry”to celebrating this anniversary.
“Governor who is competent in governance must treat floods firstly”. Flood prevention inJingzhou has been listed as the great undertaking of governance since the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. “All the people of one mind,unified strength, not fearing difficulty, working tenaciously, perseverance,and braving to fight”, after the victory of the flood prevention in 1998, the stability of Jingzhou has been more concerned by the Party and the state.
For two decades, the State has invested RMB 10 billion to the construction of embankment reinforcement works in total.Facing this rare construction opportunity, the whole city overcomes obstacles and solves tough problems to perform the great construction of flood prevention engineering in Jingzhou, which makes a grand flood-prevention blueprint tochange Jingzhou from “the most dangerous place along the Yangtze River” to “themost beautiful place along the Yangtze River”.
This photo show consists of four parts,namely the chapter of flood prevention, chapter of engineering construction,chapter of embankment management, and chapter of Party Establishment Pioneering Action, 25 exhibition boards in total, to showcase more than 120 preciousphotos. Based on the history of Jingjiang construction and taking the history of flood prevention construction as the materials, it adopts the mode of integrationof departments and regions to sketch out the 20-year construction course of Jingjiang embankment, display the grand development history of Jingjiang in upsand downs, and show the great achievements of Jingjiang embankment engineering construction obtained during the two decades as well as the obvious changes of embankment management level.
