Hubei GaoboTechnology Co., Ltd, which settled in Jingzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, has already gained a firm foothold in the new energy vehicle battery market through nearly three years of development. This March, with an investment of RMB 903 million, Gaobo Technology launched the establishment of a new factory. At present, the first-phase factory has been completed while it can be moved out from the old factory in October.
The new factory of Hubei Gaobo Technology Co., Ltd is located at the 2nd Fangyin Road of Jingzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an overall area of 171.86 mu, which will be built in two phases. It is shown at the construction site that, so far, the main part of the first-phase office building and the No.1 factory has been finished and now interior decoration is in progress.
GaoboTechnology is mainly engaged in the manufacturing, technology research and development, and technology transfer of lithium battery products. As the new energy battery, the ordinary lithium battery consists of four parts, i.e. anode, cathode, diaphragm and organic electrolyte. Among them, anode material is the key todecide the index of battery performance. Gaobo’s products are one of the most advanced and prosperous ones – the anode material of lithium iron phosphate battery. Dueto its high power capacity and high purity, it was awarded with the gold medal of Hubei patent in 2016.
To take up a bigger market share, after settled in Jingzhou in 2015, Gaobo Technology rented factory at once to produce anode material. Up to now, it has had 6 anode material production lines and its products are out of supply in the market with an annual output of RMB 60 million. Once the No.1 factory is completed, it will set about the movement from old factory and will produce in full swing in October.
At present, based on lithium iron phosphate battery, Gaobo Technology has again developed the next generation of lithiumbattery—lithium iron phosphate battery. It is predicted that the second-phase project will produce lithium battery finished products and derive products at other multiple levels in multiple forms such as intelligent mobile battery, home energy storage battery, and base station energy storage battery.
