Japan-China Friendship Association of Aizu-Wakamatsu in Japan Visited Jingzhou

From October 11th to 13th, Endou, President of Japan-China Friendship Association of Aizu-Wakamatsu in Japan, led a delegation to pay a friendly visit to Jingzhou.

On the afternoon of October 12th, Tang Wei, Vice Mayor of Jingzhou Municipal People’s Government, had a meeting with President Endou and his party. Tang Wei said that, this year is the 40th anniversaryof the signing of China-Japan Peace and Friendship Treaty as well as the 27th anniversary of the establishment of sister cities relationship between Jingzhou and Aizu-Wakamatsu. For many years, both sides have conducted a lot of practical exchanges and cooperation in terms of medical treatment, public health, culture and education, and sightseeing tour and have established a profound friendship with each other, achieving fruitful results. In the future, he hoped that both sides will continue to strengthen the exchange and cooperation to extend the friendship and set up deeper and wider connection in more fields such asculture, tourism and economy.

Endou expressed that, Jingzhou is a famous city of history and culture and also owns a comparative high reputation in Japan. The visit of Japan-China Friendship Association to Jingzhou is expected to continue to intensify the friendship between both sides. Japan-China Friendship Association of Aizu-Wakamatsu in Japan will always stay committed to promoting the folk exchange between both sides so as to advance both cities to conduct exchanges and cooperation in wider fields. The close folk exchange and cooperation between both sides promotes the relationship to a higher level.

During the meeting, both sides sent gifts to each other. Endou forwarded a letter for Cui Yonghui, Mayor of Jingzhou Municipal People’s Government, by Syohei Muroi. During the visit, the delegation also paid a visit to Jingzhou Ancient Wall, Jingzhou Museum, Huijin Garden, and Old South Door Sakura Forest.
