December 4th of this year marks the fifth anniversary of China's Constitution Day. On the morning of November 30th, the “Jingchu Culture Exhibition & Legal Culture Fair” held at Chens’Lake Park in Shishou City unveiled the curtain of series promotion activitiesof “December 4th” China's Constitution Day.
Zhou Jing, Deputy Secretary of Jingzhou Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of Jingzhou Municipal Political and Legal Committee, Zhang Qin, Deputy Director of Jingzhou Municipal People's Congress, Huang Tingsong, Vice Mayor of Jingzhou, Hu Jinglin of Deputy President of Jingzhou CPPCC, Xiao Jianzhi, President of Jingzhou Intermediate People's Court, and Wang Cunfeng, Chief Prosecutor of Jingzhou People’s Procuratorate, attended the activity.
At the site, more than 80 departments from Jingzhou and Shishou set up publicity stands for rule of law promotion to provide consulting services, while tens of thousands of citizens came to the fair. The legal culture fair involved legal cultural performances, intensive legal culture promotion, legal culture quiz with award, and legal culture calligraphy show. Self-directed and performed legal culture performances by community citizens and parts of law-enforcement agencies publicized the constitution and laws as well as the life and practices of rule of law through the artistic expression form with great Jingchu features. Publicity stands of all departments publicized rules and regulations closely related to people’s life and work through distributing promotion materials, providing compulsory legal advice, holding legal exhibitions of legal system, and hosting legal culturequiz with award.
In order to deeply study, promote and implement the spirit of the constitution, Publicity Department of Jingzhou Municipal Committee, Political and Legal Affairs Commission of Jingzhou Municipal Committee, Law Construction Office of Jingzhou Municipality, JingzhouLaw Society, Jingzhou Bureau of Justice, Jingzhou Law Popularity Office will jointly host the “December 4th”Community Legal Culture Fair. The theme of this year is to respect, study, observe, maintain, and utilize the constitution.
From now on to mid-December, Jingzhou will conduct a series of promotion activities to celebrate the “December 4th”China's Constitution Day. During this period, all government departments inJingzhou will organize and conduct all types of legal culture performances and exhibitions and legal cultural art grass-root activities through forms beloved by people and make a full use of all promotion resources to showcase and promote legal culture so that the Constitution can really integrate into the people and their daily life.
