December 2nd marks the 7th anniversary of Traffic Safety's Day of China. In order to help Jingzhou build itself as a National Civilized City and comprehensively purify the urban traffic environment, on the morning of December 2nd, public benefit activity of Traffic Safety's Day of China was held in Sanonda Plaza. With the theme of “establishing national civilized city and advocating safety and civilized travel for details is of life”, it was hosted by Jingzhou Civilization Construction Office, Cyberspace Administration of Jingzhou, Jingzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, Jingzhou Bureau of Education and Sports, JingzhouBureau of Justice, Jingzhou Transportation Bureau, Jingzhou Administration of Work Safety, and Jingzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, and organized by Transportation Management Division of Jingzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau and Jingzhou Radio.
Huang Tingsong, Vice Mayor of Jingzhou and General Director of Jingzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, attended the activity and issued civilization construction giving auto-logos to representatives of relevant organizations.
At 9:00 of this morning, the activity was unveiled by programs including Inspiring China, and Song of Chinese Policemen.Wei Lai, a traffic policeman from the first brigade of Transportation Management Division of Jingzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau sang the self-programming song, Reminder of Police Badge, to make citizens further understand laws and regulations of traffic when enjoying this audio-visual feast; and students from Zhangjiasan Alley Primary School of Jingzhou gave a performance of Little Traffic Safety Supervisor by allegro to put traffic safety knowledge into audiences’minds and hearts…
It is learned that, China has designated December 2nd of each year as the Traffic Safety's Day of China since2012. This year, in order to mobilize citizen’s initiative of participating intraffic management, traffic control department innovated forms to promote traffic safety knowledge through forms beloved by people such as sings, dance,and allegro. In addition, it also set up interactive section with award to push the site atmosphere to a climax via activities such as the selection of “excellent traffic civilization little videos” and the searching of “JingzhouTraffic Courtesy”.
It is known by reporter that, since this year, Jingzhou’s traffic policeman has continued to innovate working methods of traffic management and take strict and delicate measures to ensure traffic safety and smooth traffic, and finally realized the results that the whole situation of road traffic has been stable and the traffic safety awareness and civilization quality of traffic participants has been raised remarkably. According to the statics released on site, in 2018, there were 59,467 new automobile drivers in Jingzhou and the number of motor vehicle drivers amounted to 1237,880, new registered automobiles to 84,570 and vehicles to 667,842.
Since this year, the top three illegal acts that can easily lead to traffic accidents in Jingzhou are: failing to give way as required, driving without license, and failing to maintain the necessary safe distance from the vehicle in front, while the top three ones that can easily lead to death are: failing to give way as required, driving withoutlicense, and passing other vehicles illegally.
