Thanks to the 5G technology, visitors now can “travel back” to Chu State and experience theprofound Chu culture through horse and chariot pits in museum. In the afternoonof November 29th, China Mobile Hubei Branch and Hubei Provincial Museum jointlyannounced to launch the national exemplary “5G Smart Museum”. In the future,visitors can have a number of new 5G experiences when touring inside the HubeiProvincial Museum.

According tothe cooperation agreement, both sides will conduct cooperation and research interms of 5G technology, cultural relics demonstration, and hall management.Hubei China Mobile will install high-quality and secure 5G network within themuseum. As to the Military World Games, both sides will jointly set up high-endmobile phone application of “Smart Museum” and highlighted exhibition halls of“Digital Three Gorge”, “Chu Culture Horse and Chariot Pits”, and“entertainment” and “arms” of featured exhibition area to together explore theapplication and construction of 5G smart museum.

Hubei ProvincialMuseum is the national first-grade museum and one of the eight museums inChina. Furthermore, it is a state-level comprehensive museum with the largestscale, richest collections, and strongest scientific power in Hubei Province.

It wasintroduced by Fan Bingheng, General Manager of Hubei China Mobile, that as oneof the first group of 5G scale pilot cities in China approved by the Ministryof Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, Wuhanhas already taken the lead in China in terms of 5G technology applications. Thecooperation agreement signed with Hubei Provincial Museum will capitalize onthe 5G technology to drive the transformation and upgrading of cultural relicsand culture presentation methods and support the digitalized construction ofthe museum so as to build Hubei Provincial Museum as the most beautiful namecard of Hubei Province.

According toinformation, Hubei China Mobile is now joining hands with telecommunicationdevice suppliers, leading companies in Hubei Province as well as universitiessuch as Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology toactively explore 5G application in terms of Beidou, smart medical treatment,and car networking, and make efforts to bring more convenience to people’slife. At present, along with the settlement of the national first “5G + Beidou”innovation laboratory, first 5G smart hospital, and 5G smart museum one afteranother, Hubei has already taken the leading position of China in 5Gcommercialized applications.
