Hit a New High Foreign Trade in Jingzhou Ranks the Forefront among Prefectures in the Province in 2018

Export reached 1.51 billion USD, rising by 23% YoY and ranking in the leading position in Hubei Province. The continuous expansion of foreign trade team and optimization of export commodities structure has mainly contributed to Jingzhou’s substantial foreign trade growth. 

A busy production scene is presented in the workshop of Hubei W-OLF Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd.. As the economic situation at home and abroad has improved since 2018, W-OLF Photoelectric has received many overseas orders, amounting to more than 40 million USD. By the end of November 2018, the company’s export has totalled more than 35 million USD. To meet the production demands, the W-OLF photoelectric, based on the original coating equipment, has installed the cutting line for optical fibers of mobiles. 

The rapid export growth of private enterprises and the optimization of the export commodities structure are main contributions to Jingzhou's foreign trade export in 2018. The processing trade in Jingzhou, dominated by electro-mechanic products, keeps improving production process and upgrading technological level, thus gaining client recognition and increasing export volume. From January to November this year, the export of electro-mechanic export reached 378 million USD, rising by 41% YoY, among which there are 27 kinds of goods whose export exceeds 20 million USD, including mobile phone accessories and auto parts. 

In addition, Jingzhou had trade relations with 154 countries and regions in 2018, an increase of nearly 30 over 2017. Jingzhou continued to increase export to countries along the Belt &Road and BRICS member states. As the China-Europe cargo trains develop and port construction improves, product export time has been effectively shortened. Moreand more Jingzhou enterprises are doing business in countries along the Belt& Road. So far, Jingzhou has 32 overseas investments enterprises, 5 more than 2017.

In 2019, foreign trade in Jingzhou will focus on stabilizing export and expanding the market, optimizing service and expanding export-oriented economy, further explore the export potential, consolidate the core support for exports in Jingzhou Development Zone, so as to secure the continuous growth of major districts such as Shashi, Songzi and Gong’an, and pay close attention to major enterprises exporting chemicals, automobileparts, petroleum machinery, optical electrics and agricultural products, thus pushing forward continous and sustainable development of export in Jingzhou.
