With a total investment of some 3 billion yuan, the constructionof Hubei 2nd Garden Expo & Jingzhou 1st Garden Expo Park has progressedsmoothly since commencing on February 23, 2018. The project has entered thestage of infrastructural construction and is expected to be completed in September2019.

At 9 AM, the reporter saw engineering vehicles workingon the pile foundation on the construction site of the landscape scroll node ofthe park. According to the constructor, the landscape scroll, 170 meters inlength, 15 meters in height, needs around 2,000 piles. The pile foundationworks is expected to start on June 28 and run for about 40 days.

The venue for Hubei 2nd Garden Expo & Jingzhou 1stGarden Expo is located in the core zone of Ji'nan Ecological Cultural TourismZone, with an area of 103.3 hectares, including a land area of 57.6 hectaresand a water area of 45.7 hectares. The project plan covers 44 parks in threezones: City & Prefecture Zone, Jingzhou Zone and Garden Zone.

With the theme "Cultural Jingchu, WaterPark", the park creates environment by water and links attractions. Theproject highlights the innovative inheritance of Jingzhou's historical culture,features the water town style of Jingchu, and highlights the rational use ofnatural pools and landforms.

Hubei Garden Expo is a triennial landscape gardenevent with the largest scale, the highest grade and the richest content inHubei. Hubei 2nd Garden Expo & Jingzhou 1st Garden Expo is scheduled toopen on September 1, 2019.
