Implementing the spirit of the plenary meeting of the municipal committee: Building highlights of cultural tourism for Jingzhou

Chinese History & CultureSci-tech Park and Garden Expo Park will open in March and Septemberrespectively. 2019 will see the great development of Jingzhou's culturaltourism. The 7th Plenary Meeting of the 5th CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee& Municipal Economic Work Conference called for efforts to prosper culturaltourism with its as a strategic pillar industry.

In recent years, the CPC JingzhouMunicipal Committee and the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government have plannedthe strategy for tourism development and implemented tourism projects inaccordance with high standards. A number of major and fine projects have beenor will soon be completed. 2019 will see the great development of Jingzhou'scultural tourism. The plenary session of the municipal committee required thatrelevant sides should highlight the construction of core scenic areas, take theopening of Chinese History & Culture Sci-tech Park in March and the openingof Garden Expo Park in September as time nodes, focus on the construction ofRoad to Revival Cultural Sci-tech Park, Jingchu Grand Cultural Garden and Kingof Chu Palace, speed up the construction of the water environment treatmentproject of the Changhu Lake, around-lake tourism roads and green roads, andbuild the surroundings of the Changhu Lake, the Honghu Lake and the WeishuiRiver into a core attraction.

The meeting stressed that effortsshould be made to develop cultural tourism innovatively, promote the"ecological brand", "red brand" and "culturalbrand" of Jingzhou, tap the economic benefit of Jingzhou's colorfulculture, green hills and clear waters, press ahead with the protection-based constructionof Jinan Ecological Cultural Tourism Zone, steadily advance the creation ofJingzhou's 5A scenic areas and county-level 4A scenic areas, and speed up theimprovement of high-class tourism highways, and push for the linkage ofJingzhou's scenic areas, thus building Jingzhou into a world-renowned ThreeKingdoms culture tourism destination and a national comprehensive model areafor preservation and utilization of cultural relics.

Besides, relevant sides shouldstrengthen tourism brand packaging planning, make good use of authoritativemedia, emerging media and offline platforms, and make great efforts on tourism marketing;should enhance brand image, go all out to push forward the building of JingzhouAncient City into a 5A scenic area, and speed up the building of Ocean Worldand Honghu Red Marshland into 4A scenic areas; and should speed up thedevelopment of all-for-one tourism and focus on creating a tourism pattern of "onecenter, two wings, one belt, two clusters".
