More Than 6,000 Jingzhou Citizens Spent Spring Festival in Libraries

During the Spring Festival, many readers came to the Municipal Libraryto read books. From the 1st to the 6th in the first lunar month of 2019, theMunicipal Library received more than 6,000 readers. 

During the Spring Festival, the Municipal Library wasopen as usual. 

Many citizens came to the Municipal Library from the 1stto the 6th of the first lunar month in 2019 for the purpose of visiting,borrowing books, reading or watching films. Many students went to study in thelibrary in the Spring Festival, spending a different Chinese New Year togetherwith books. 

Watching high-level paintings exhibition has become a“new fashion” of Jingzhou people’s cultural life during the spring festival.

On the 1st of the first lunar month of 2019, theMunicipal Library witnessed the opening of Return to Hometown - PaintingExhibition of Six Shashi-born Painters. The six painters, namely, Zheng Qiang,Liu Bu'er, Liu Zijian, Shi Ming, Chen Yunquan and Luo Bin, are very famous inChina. The exhibition attracted more than 1,000 citizens on that day. Theexhibition hall was crowded with visitors, who took photos, appreciatedpaintings and experienced the strong aspiration for the hometown. 

According to the staff of the Municipal Library, duringthe Spring Festival, the Library was crowded with readers and visitors to theexhibition. The most-borrowed books were about science and literature. Tobetter meet the readers' demand, the Municipal Library also held suchactivities as the free online video on demand and free movie show, etc. 

Sun Pinyan, the head of the Municipal Library, said thatmany citizens are now choose to come here to spend their holidays, which makesthe festival filled with literary fragrance.
