Accordingto a source from the Jingzhou Association for Science and Technology (JAST), 8provincial academician & expert workstations were established in Jingzhouin 2018. To date 61 provincial academician & expert workstations have beenestablished in Jingzhou. These workstations have transformed 140 technologiesand achieved a high-tech industry added value of 21 billion yuan in 2018.

In2018, eight entities in Jingzhou established academician & expertworkstations, including Huaying Pipeline Monitoring Technology Service (Hubei)Co., Ltd., Hubei Qifeng Textile Co., Ltd., Hubei Xueyin Agricultural Science& Technology Co., Ltd., Jingzhou Kerun Modern Agriculture TechnologyPromotion Service Cooperative, Hubei Yisui Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd.,Shishou Laohe Four Yangtze River Domestic Fishes Seed Farm, Honghu Qianhu YugeAquaculture Cooperative and Hubei Halfsky Pharmacy Co., Ltd. JAST has concludedcooperation agreements with 10 universities, including Wuhan University,Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Huazhong AgriculturalUniversity, China University of Geosciences and Wuhan University of Technology.

Jingzhouhas established 61 academician & expert workstations, including 50provincial academician & expert workstations and 11 municipal academician& expert workstations, flexibly introduced 17 academicians and nearly 200experts, established 2 overseas talent base workstations and introduced morethan 30 overseas high-level talents.

Jingzhouwill support the academician & expert workstations and overseas talentworkstations in project declaration, establishment review, fund and jobevaluation, provide preferential financial support for research projects, majorprojects and innovation platform construction undertaken by the workstations,create favorable conditions for the workstations to introduce urgently neededtalents and establish innovation teams, and preferentially recommend andcommend experts with outstanding contributions in technology innovation systemconstruction, thereby upgrading the workstations.
