The 2nd Hubei Province GardenExpo & 1st Jingzhou Garden Expo is slated to open in late September. Now, the Garden Expo Parkconstruction project in Ji’nanEcological Cultural Tourist Area is advancing at a fast pace, and themain structure of the park is expected to be completed by the end of March.

The theme of the Expo is “Splendid Jingchu Culture, Ecological GardenExpo.” The design and construction of the park are revolving around theecological theme. The overall layout of the park features water and greenlandscapes. Based on the characteristics of the region of rivers and lakes, thegarden expo will highlight the rational utilization of natural ponds andlandforms with respect for the original terrain.

Among them, the “Landscape Scroll,” 170 meters long, 70 meters wide and 15meters high, will become the main highlight in the Garden Expo Park, featuringtwo scenes. On one side, waterfalls and streams converge to form a magnificentpicture; on the other side, pavilions, platforms and bridges will be built forvisitors to rest and appreciate the beauty of nature.

The main structure of the rockery of the landscape has been completed, andthe remaining detailed jobs are under way. The project is expected to becompleted by the end of April. Then, the “Landscape Scroll” will become thehighest point of the entire park, and visitors can enjoy a beautiful scene ofrivers flowing down the mountain as soon as stepping into the park through themain entrance.

In addition to the “Landscape Scroll,” the main venue will be anotherlandmark of the park. The phoenix, which is the classical Jingchu culturaltotem, will be highlighted in an artistic manner. Large celebrations will becarried out here during the expo period. The casting of the second floor of thenorth building has been completed. The main structure will be completed by theend of March, and interior decorations will be finished by the end of June.

Hu Qing, project manager of Zeho Waterfront, saidthat the earthworks and topographic shaping for the Jingzhou Garden Expo Parkhas been basically completed since the project began in early 2018. Constructionof 60% of the bridges and first-grade roads have been completed, and more than11,000 trees have been planted. A total of 44 exhibition sub-parks have beenplanned within the park. In addition to the sub-parks for Jingzhou’s various countiesand other landscape exhibitions, there will also be sub-parks for municipal exhibitions.At present, Huangshi Park, Suizhou Park, Xianning Park and Shiyan Park have begunconstruction successively.
