The Weishui Tourism Road is the highway connectingSongzi urban area and Weishui Scenic Area, which consists of the north section,the urban section, the Chucheng Avenue and the Weishui section with totalinvestment of about 1.29 billion yuan and the length of about 35.87km. Thedesigned speed is 80km/h with high standards of green belts and bicycle lanes. Theproject started in December 2017 and now the construction of roadbed as well asbridge and culvert engineering is underway. The north section and the urban sectionwill be planned at the end of this year. The main line from Chucheng Avenue to Weishuiis scheduled to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2020.

After the completion, the project willeffectively promote the development and construction of tourism resources in WeishuiScenic Area, enhance the popularity and the development of tourism industry inSongzi City and help build a first-class sports and leisure destination inChina.
On April 4th, Huang Xianglong, the PartyCommittee Secretary of Songzi City, conducted inspection on the constructionsite to supervise the construction of Weishui Tourism Fast Road. HuangXianglong and the entourage inspected Mutianhe, the starting point of theproject, culvert construction site in Baiyunnan Road, the south section ofJingsong First Class Highway and the Xinhe Bridge of Weishui Tourism Road underconstruction. They conducted onsite observation, carefully listened to thesituation report and onsite analysis to help solve the problems anddifficulties in the construction.
“Build full supporting engineering andstrive for the first-class quality to make tourism in Songzi travel well-knownall over the country.” Huang Xianglong pointed out that all the departmentsshould strictly implement planning and design, strictly abide by operationprocedures and time schedules to ensure scientific, rapid and safe constructionwith high standard, high quality and high efficiency, so as to build a boutiqueand benchmarking project to make contributions to the overall tourismdevelopment in Songzi city.
