FuxingAvenue, a rapid transit under construction in central area of Jingzhou, isexpected to become a main transfer node for the railway, highway, airport andport of Jingzhou, and has always been a focused issue among citizens. How aboutthe construction now?

Thewhole construction site of Fuxing Avenue is very busy. The pile drivers andhoisting machines keep roaring, and workers are also working with untiringenergy. Everyone is making his own contribution to the successful completion ofFuxing Avenue.

At the third division of Fuxing Avenue Project, Jingxiang Bridge is underconstruction. As the end of JingbeiOverpass, the bridge is composed of a main bridge and two auxiliarybridges across Jingxiang River,and also a key node of Fuxing Avenue.

Thethird division starts from k15+800 to k19+800. The work now focuses on thesuccessful completion of the node for main lane in 2019, and all the pilefoundations of the bridge have been completed.

Thefifth division of the project is located in Jingzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone,measuring 5.7km in length and consisting of a 700m railway flyover and a 2.1kmoverpass. After completion, the traffic conditions in the development zone willbe effectively improved. As the substructure was completed, the superstructureis now under construction, of which 60% was completed. Zeng Jian, head of thefifth division, says that, after the box girder is completed, some ancillaryworks on bridge surface will start, including bridge deck pavement, asphaltpavement, street lamp building and traffic signs setting.

Locatedin the north of the central area of Jingzhou, Fuxing Avenue Project starts fromJinjiang River – Hanjiang RiverCanal to Shanghai Avenue,measuring 23.9km in length and with a total investment of RMB 8.56 billion. Fornow, 90% of the pile foundations, 86% of the pile caps, 74% of the pier studs and 37% of the boxgirders have been completed.

Accordingto the construction plan, the designed speed on the main lane of Fuxing Avenueis 80km/hour, and that on the auxiliary lane is 40km/hour, featuringbarrier-free accessibility over the whole bridge. After completion, the avenuewill become a principal traffic axis from east to west in central area of Jingzhou,and connect important traffic nodes like Shanghai-Chengdu High Speed Railway(Jingzhou Station), Menghua Railway (East Jingzhou Station) and Cenhe Airport.
