Yesterday, reporter learned from the MunicipalCulture and Tourism Bureau that the “Cultural and Natural Heritage Day” thisyear came during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, and tourism departments andtravel enterprises of our city provided a wide variety of tourism products forthe general public, thus creating sound festival atmosphere featuringtraditional culture elements. The number of tourists received across the cityshowed a significant upward trend, with visitors received by touristattractions, hotels, agritainment, rural tourism, travel agencies, andspecialty tourist restaurants continued to grow.

Many scenic spots held traditional culturalactivities during the festival. The “Cultural and Natural Heritage Day” comeson June 8, and the Qiansong Cultural Park in Jingzhou District launched the “IntangibleCultural Heritage Publicity Day and Folk Fair of Dragon Boat Festival, whereMashan Folk Songs, Clay Pottery Firing of the Ying City, Embroidery of the ChuState, Winemaking and others, appeared in the fair and went into the public.The Jingzhou Museum worked together with the King Chu's Mausoleum Scenic Areato launch an Archaeological Open Day event, allowing the general public to walkinto the ruins park, tap into the Jingchu culture and enhance the awareness ofcultural relics protection.

Various and diversified tourism products were alsoheld in other scenic spots. The “Water Park” and the animal performances in theAquarium of Jingzhou Ocean World, the nostalgic games and the “Snow in the Seaof Flowers” in the Jingzhou Rose Garden brought visitors with an audio-visualfeast, which enhanced attraction of the scenic spots, leading to prosperity indemand and supply in tourism market. At the same time, cultural tourismrepresented by Jingzhou Ancient City, Jingzhou Museum, the Loyalty Garden ofGuan Yu, rural tourism represented by the Peach Hill Ecological Park inShishou, Honghu Laowan and revolutionary tourism represented by Jianli ZhouLaozui and Honghu Qujiawan, the eco-tourism represented by the Weishui inSongzi and the Swan Island in Shishou, and holiday tourism represented by Xiejiapingin Songzi and Yuexi Peninsula in Honghu still remained popular among thepublic.

A total number of 320 law enforcement personnelhave been dispatched and inspected 80 business units during the period of thefestival. Civilized service stations (points) were set up in all scenic spots,star-rated hotels and travel agencies to carry out civilized tourism publicityand volunteer activities themed by “Learn from Lei Feng”, which are praised bytourists. There is no travel safety incident or complaint during the festival.
