The Second Hubei ProvinceGarden Expo will kick off in Jingzhou on September 28. The garden exposition projectin Jinan Eco-culture Tourism Zone has entered a decisive stage. Construction of 44exhibition parks has been comprehensively advanced. Of these, 17 garden worksexhibition parks have been fully constructed, and the garden construction andgreening work is carried out in an intense but orderly manner. 

Seventeen garden exhibition parks are dividedinto Master Garden, Enterprise Garden, Sister City Garden, University Garden, SpecializedGardens and other theme exhibition areas, which are the concentrated embodimentof new design concept and cultural heritage. Qujiang Garden is an important focusin Sister City Garden. "Half of poems of the Tang Dynasty are seen in QujiangPool Garden". Qujiang Pool, located in the ancient city of Xi'an, is afamous imperial landscape garden in the Tang Dynasty. Many literati left theirpoems here. Qujiang Garden is designed with the flourishing Tang Dynasty as themain line, and all scenic spots are derived from the unique sceneries depictedin Tang poetry. In addition to the Welcoming Gate, there are four nodes in thepark, namely, Frontier Fortress Poet, Watching the Lu Mountain Falls, Drinking andWritingPoems at Both Banks of River, Tang Style of FlourishingAge. The design intentions correspond to Cen Shen's poem Song of White Snow in Farewell to Secretary Wu Going Back to theCapital, and Li Bai's poem The Waterfallin Mount Lu Viewed from Afar, Du Yi's poem Memory of Chang'an in March, and Wang Wei's poem Works Responding to Official Jiazhi’s Poemabout Levee at Daming Palace. Among them, Drinking andWritingPoems at Both Banks of River is a touristexperience zone with water-treading interactive facilities. Tourists can createpower by treading water, so that the fountain in the water platform can beinjected into the meandering channels already laid to form trickles flowing inthe park. At present, the theme buildings of Qujiang Garden have all beencapped, and the external decoration work is being carried out.

Apart from Qujiang Garden, Master Park is alsoworth the wait. It was designed by Liu Binyi, Professor of Department ofLandscape Sciences, College of Architecture and Urban Planning, TongjiUniversity, and Director of International Association for Landscape Ecology.The park with oval shape design covers an area of 1,200 square meters. TheConsonance Pagoda, which is 18.5 meters high, is the core building with thehighest point of 44 exhibition gardens in the park.

According to Xu Zhendong, person in charge of GardenExpo Park, among 44 exhibition gardens, there are 17 exhibition parks at cityand prefecture level and 10 exhibition parks at county level. At present, theearthwork and terrain construction of all exhibition gardens have beencompleted, 85% of landscaping of hills and rivers have been built, 80% of thegreening planting has been finished, and the Ezhou Garden, Tianmen Garden,Suizhou Garden, Shiyan Garden, Huanggang Garden, Enshi Garden and Songzi Gardenhave been basically completed.
