According to a source from themunicipal statistical department, Jingzhou sped up the conversion of industrialdriving forces in the first half of 2019 to continue promoting high-qualitydevelopment.
"De-capacity,de-stocking, de-leverage, cost reduction and deficiency makeup" wereadvanced in depth. In the first half of 2019, Jingzhou's industrial supply structureimproved, its capacity utilization rebounded and the capacity utilization ofindustrial enterprises above designated size was up 0.2 percent year on year;Jingzhou achieved significant effects in real estate-stocking, the idle area ofreal estate was 884,000 square meters in the first half of 2019, down 2.6percent year on year. The policy dividend of tax and cost reduction hasappeared and enterprise costs decreased; the investment in less competitivefields such as ecological protection, environmental improvement and educationwas up 448.9 percent and 19.8 percent year on year respectively.
Industrialdriving force conversion was prominent. In the first half of 2019, enterpriseslike Huadian Jiangling Power Plant, Henglong KYB, Midea Refrigerator,Baiyunbian, New Hongye Food, Changli Glass and Kaile Technology sped up transformationand upgrading; new enterprises, enterprises with expanded capacity and emergingenterprises became the important support for the fast growth of the industrialeconomy.
High-techindustries grew rapidly. In the first half of 2019, the added value of Jingzhou'shigh-tech industries was 15.381 billion yuan, up 9.6 percent year on year,accounting for 16.4 percent of Jingzhou's GDP, up 4.7 percent year on year.Jingzhou's 376 high-tech manufacturers achieved a total output value of 53.359billion yuan, up 8.8 percent year on year; the total output value of high-techindustries account for 51.3 percent of the total output value of industriesabove designated scale, up 15.5 percent year on year.
