According to a source from the JingzhouMunicipal Bureau of Commerce (JMBC), Jianli County and Jingzhou Economic &Technological Development Zone have been designated national foreign tradetransformation and upgrading bases for home textile and automotive parts.

National foreign trade transformation andupgrading bases are industrial agglomerations integrating the functions of productionand export. Preferentially supported and developed by the country, they areimportant carriers for cultivating the new advantage in export competition, aswell as the important basis of promoting the transformation of foreign trademodes and optimizing the export commodity structure, said Wei Jun, Chief of theForeign Trade Section, JMBC.

Jingzhou is a cotton-producing area inJianghan Plain. Jingzhou's textile industry starting early has a good foundationand a large scale. Jianli's home textile industry was designated a provincialkey growth-type industrial cluster twice in 2014 and 2017 by the HubeiProvincial People's Government. "Yusha" pure cotton towels, bathtowels and beach towels, as well as home textile series such as flannel, Yudiaoblanket, beddings and leisure wear, produced by Yusha Group, a core enterpriseof Jingzhou's textile industry, enjoy a global fame, and are sold to over 30countries and regions in Europe, America and Asia.

The automotive parts industry is Jingzhou'smajor export trade industry. Jingzhou has so far brought together over 260automotive and automotive parts manufacturers represented by Hubei Henglong, ValeoAutomotive Air Conditioning and Hubei Axle. These enterprises manufactureautomotive parts such as steering gear, axle, air conditioner, lighting, motor,crankshaft, oil hose and safety system. Key markets and partners of Jingzhou's automotiveparts industry are distributed in regions such as Europe, North America, SouthAmerica and East Asia.
