The Jingzhou Garden Expo Park Project includesthe exhibition parks of 10 counties, cities and districts. The exhibition parksreflect the natural charm of Jingzhou with abundant rivers and lakes, takingthe Jingzhou culture with abundant fishes, rice and water as the carrier andrelying on its own characteristics. Songzi City Exhibition Park covers a groundarea of about 2,400 square meters. The main industry - Baiyunbian of SongziCity - and Weishui Scenic Zone with beautiful mountains and clear waters havebeen used as the design background. Taking “White Clouds and Blue WeishuiWater” as its design theme, Songzi City Exhibition Park interprets the urbanecology and industrial characteristics of Songzi City. 

In Songzi City Exhibition Park, the reporterfound that the park construction project was already in the closing stage andsaw workers doing interior decoration work in the Landscape Exhibition Hall ofSongzi City Exhibition Park. A traditional ancient architectural form wasadopted as the design ideas for this garden in the park, attempting toharmonize the garden with the landscape of Weishui with white clouds and bluesky, create an excellent garden in the park and provide a rest and viewingspace for tourists.

Recyclable steel structures were used as themain parts of the structures in Songzi City Exhibition Park. Rainwater Gardenand permeable pavement materials were used to manage rainwater and achieve thezero rainwater discharge. In the park, flowing water runs toward an open waterarea at the main water entrance and stops in a white gravel pool to accumulate,filter, purify and permeate, which shows tourists the dynamic processconsisting of rainwater landing, rainwater flowing and quiet rainwater disappearance.In the park, the reporter also saw the main feature of the park - White CloudBridge - consisting of five mountain-shaped arches and waterside facilities. Correspondingto each other, the two landscapes have formed an urban context with maintains,waters and gardens. A 218-meter sightseeing path built with special fluorescentpervious concrete looks like a wandering water flow in the park. The annular eclipse-shaped“Ring of Life” emits spray in the central scenic area of the park, interactingwith the surrounding green trees and the mountain scenery. 

In the design, all the steps and landscapes ofSongzi City Exhibition Park have closely followed the theme of “White Cloudsand Blue Weishui Water”. In the park, pervious concrete has been used as thepavement material. In addition, in some parts of the park, fluorescent perviousconcrete has been used as the pavement material. White clouds and blue sky arereflected on the water of the park and they show some interesting images. Thecentral water feature of the park - Rainwater Garden - assumes the appearanceof the terraced fields of Songzi and the shape of the “Liquor Cup on FlowingWater” of the brand Baiyunbian and forms a multi-layer garden. The flowingwater device - the “Ring of Life” as the source of Rainwater Garden designedout of the inspiration of sunrise at Weishui, Songzi, has added some ingenuityto the exhibition park. The city tree of Songzi City - the loblolly pine - hasbeen selected as the main plant of the park to highlight the purity, simplicityand elegance of mountain-shaped steel structures and flowing water streaks onthe ground and prevent the texture disorder of the woods from dominating theatmosphere of the park. The tiered mountain range, winding water paths and indistinctannular eclipse-shaped ring forms a picturesque Weishui sunrise image in thewhole exhibition park.
