On the afternoon of September 28, "BrilliantJingchu, Eco-friendly Garden Expo": the 2nd Hubei Province (Jingzhou) Garden Expo-Forumon Eco-civilization Building, hosted by the Department of Housing and Urban-RuralDevelopment of Hubei Province (HBDHURD) and the Jingzhou Municipal People'sGovernment, took place in Jingzhou. With General Secretary Xi Jinping's thought on eco-civilizationas core, the forum will pool industry wisdom, promote Chinese garden culture,further summarize practices of garden art development, study and explore theorientation and innovative development of garden art in the new era.

Fu Jicheng, Deputy Director of HBDHURD,delivered an address. The 2nd Hubei Province (Jingzhou) Garden Expo fully displayed Hubei's profoundhistory and culture, disseminated Hubei's garden culture and showcased Hubei'snew achievements in eco-civilization building, said he, hoping that the forumwill facilitate more in-depth, practical and effective cooperation exchanges,pool industry wisdom, promote Chinese garden culture, and make newcontributions to eco-civilization building and high-quality development.

Cui Yonghui, Mayor of the Jingzhou MunicipalPeople's Government, delivered a keynote speech titled Jingzhou's Practice and Idea of Advancing the Great Protection of theYangtze River. In recent years, Jingzhou has implemented Xi Jinping's thoughton eco-civilization and the green concept, fostered green driving forces, cultivatedgreen advantage, made persistent efforts to portray the new scroll of "GreatYangtze River, Beautiful Jing River", and achieved remarkable results inthe practice of protecting the Yangtze River, but Jingzhou's ecologicalenvironment protection is still facing a lot of challenges and difficulties,said he, expecting the leaders and experts to offer more insightful advice onJingzhou's ecological construction.

Xu Hongxing, Member of the Chinese Academy ofSciences and Professor of Wuhan University; Li Xiong, Vice Chairman of theChinese Society of Landscape Architecture and Vice President and Professor of BeijingForestry University; and Zhu Yufan, Professor of the School of Architecture,Tsinghua University showed their professionalism by delivering keynote speechestitled Brilliant History in Symbiosis,Inherit Chinese Gene, Build BeautifulChina, and Inheritance andDevelopment of Traditional Chinese Gardens respectively, to share theirlatest achievements and practical experience in eco-civilization building.

Zhao Yulong, Vice Chairman of the ChineseAssociation of Parks; Fu Jianguo, Deputy Director General of the HubeiProvincial Administration of Urban Management and Law Enforcement; Wu Chaoan,Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department ofthe CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee; Jiang Hong, Member of the StandingCommittee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor ofthe Jingzhou Municipal People's Government; and Chen Bin, Secretary General ofthe Jingzhou Municipal People's Government attended the forum.
