The 126th China Import and Export Fair (CantonFair) took place in Guangzhou in three sessions from October 15 to November 4.According to a source from the Jingzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce (JMBC),Jingzhou's 10 enterprises participating in the first session got intent-basedorders worth 63 million U.S. dollars.
Established in 1957, Canton Fair has developedinto China's largest import & export trade and exhibition platform, as wellas the world's largest exhibition. It will help Jingzhou's enterprises further developthe international market, and boost the brand cultivation, transformation andupgrading of Jingzhou's enterprises.
According to a head of JMBC, Jingzhou's enterprisesparticipating in Session 1 cover industries such as automotive parts, buildingmaterials, hardware & labor supplies, furniture, sports equipment andelectronics & electric appliances. Jingzhou's exhibits this time are moresuperior and characteristic in quality and pattern than before, attractingflocks of participants.
According to preliminary statistics,Jingzhou's enterprises negotiated with over 650 professional merchants duringthe fair, and won 82 intent-based orders worth 63 million U.S. dollars from 48countries and regions.
According to the exhibitors' feedback,professional customers' inquiries this time increased by some 20 percent comparedto the previous edition. Particularly, professional customers from "Beltand Road" countries and regions made in-depth communication withJingzhou's enterprises and showed strong cooperation intent. Besides, 27foreign professional merchants prepared to survey production sites ofJingzhou's enterprises and discussed cooperation with them.
The 126th Canton Fair registered a totalexhibition area of 1.185 million square meters, 60,676 booths, and 25,642domestic and overseas exhibitors. To better serve enterprises, JMBC and theChina Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Jingzhou Sub-councilintroduced policies before the fair to further deepen foreign trade enterprises'knowledge of the international market, and vigorously supported enterprises inbusiness development, to promote the development of Jingzhou's foreign trade.
