Brilliant Jingchu, Ecological Garden Expo. On October 27,the “Theme Day of E’zhou” event was held at the 2nd Hubei Province(Jingzhou) Garden Expo, which promoted Jingzhou through artistic performancesand introductions to scenic spots.

The Theme Day of E’zhou held duringthis year’s Garden Expo focused onE’zhou, which is the root of Hubei, the source of Wuchang and the new city ofaviation. Jingzhou is the birthplace of the Chu culture, and E’zhou is anintegral part of the Chu culture.

The Theme Day started with “The Yue Folk’s Song”, which sounded melodious andintoxicating. The Yue Folk’s Song, together with other folk poems, isthe artistic origin of The Songs of Chu.It is the earliest translation work in China, reflecting the harmoniouscoexistence of different ethnic groups and expressing the love between peoplefrom different social classes.

Sun Quan, King of Wu, changed the name of County E to Wuchang.Therefore, E’zhou is “the root of Hubei and the source of Wuchang”. The stagedrama “The King of Wu Appoints Generals”, in the form of a song and dance,showed Sun’s power and passion when he dominated the land of Chu. Through songsand dances and intangible cultural heritage shows, tourists were given a deeperunderstanding of E’zhou.

In the E’zhou Garden at the Garden Expo, many touriststook photos with their mobile phones and experienced the ancient traditions andcustoms of the Chu State.

The E’zhou Garden boasted some unique scenic spots, suchas the City Wall of the King of E, the Gold Bamboo Joints of the King of E, theAltar of the King of E for Praying and Ascending to the Throne, the Palace of theKing of Wu and the Aviation City Exhibition. All these showed the combinedcharm of an ancient city and a modern city of technology.

At present, E’zhou is making every effort to improve thecity’s aviation, ecological and technological industries for the coordinateddevelopment and high-quality integration with Wuhan.
