At CIIE: "Buy across Globe" Meeting Jingzhou’s Enterprise at CIIE

The 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) kicked off yesterday, and91 enterprises from Jingzhou came on stage. This (November 6th) morning, China(Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone Promotion Conference & Hubei Enterprise Procurement Demand MatchmakingSigning Conference was held in Shanghai, during which six companies fromJingzhou signed contracts.

According to Cheng Donglai, Chairman of Hubei Citygreen Sports IndustryCo., Ltd., at the first edition of the CIIE, Citygreen signed a large importorder with Belgium-based VANDEWIELE, involving the manufacture of artificialturf equipment. This year, due to the 2nd Phase Project expansion of Citygreenin a bid to further increase production capacity and expand the scale, theenterprise decided to increase the procurement scale again. With this in mind,it needs to obtain new exhibitor materials at the 2nd CIIE for futurecooperation.

VANDEWIELE, which has signed a contract with Citygreen, is a majorproducer of high-end tufted carpets in the world. Its tufting machinesmanufactured in China still comply with the strict standards in Europe. At thesame time, VANDEWIELE is also committed to marketing so as to become a leaderin robotics technology and services, and working with customers to achievewin-win success, wrestling to be involved in the transformation of the Chinesetufting market.

In addition, the high-end equipment at the CIIE will further enhance theconfidence and ability of the company to achieve high-quality development. HubeiW-OLF Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. has become the provider for Huawei,Xiaomi and other enterprises due to its high-performance infrared cut-offfilter that is necessary for camera. One year after the first CIIE, biometricfilter, the company's new product, has come to mass production. The magnetronsputtering coating machine, which is the core equipment of the new product, waspurchased at the first CIIE. Today, they signed an intentional purchaseagreement of $60 million with Japan-based OPTORUN. 

It is reported that Jingzhou’s enterprises will sign contracts for 13projects at the CIIE. Among them, one will be signed at the Nordic Forum, sevenwill be signed at China (Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone Promotion Conference & Hubei EnterpriseProcurement Demand Matchmaking Signing Conference, totaling $310 million.(Reported by Tang Jie, He Jin)

Meeting Jingzhou’sEnterprise at CIIE

On November 5, the 2nd China International Import Expo (hereinafterreferred to as the CIIE) was unveiled in Shanghai. 91 enterprises andinstitutions from Jingzhou have participated in this business gala. Withprodigious expectations for procurement, both new comers and the participatorsof last year’s edition hope that fruitful results can be obtained. As of theafternoon of November 6, seven buyers have signed eight cooperation agreementswith overseas companies.

The CIIE, as the first import-themed national exhibition worldwide, is amajor innovative move in the history of international trade. More than 3,000 companiesfrom over 150 countries and regions take part in the CIIE this year, outdoingthe last edition in both participated countries and the number of participatedenterprises. In this regard, Jingzhou buyers have seized the opportunity, strivingto access more new products through the platform to understand the new trendsof the industry and jointly explore cooperation in more fields. 

According to the relevant person in charge of the Jingzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, eightcooperation agreements signed mainly involve manufacturing and industrialfields, covering high-end manufacturing equipment, imported tufting equipment,and imported watch movements. 

“In the past, we have to purchase all over the world. But at the CIIE, wecan find the products that the company needs most in a short time. That’sgreat!” said Cheng Donglai, Chairman of Hubei Citygreen SportsIndustry Co., Ltd. He stated that this is their second time to participate inthe CIIE. Currently, they have signed a cooperation agreement with Belgium's VANDEWIELE(CHINA) Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. to buy artificial turf manufacturingequipment.

VANDEWIELE, as a technological leader in a variety of textile machinery,has always hailed China as a main production and sales area for high-end tuftedcarpets in the future. Paul, the director of the R&D Department, said thathe was very pleased to have a deeper cooperation with Citygreen and hope thatthe two sides can embrace broader cooperation and win-win results in thefuture.

As for Hubei W-OLF Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd., it has also signedan intentional purchase agreement of $60 million with Japan-based OPTORUN. YangFeng, the project manager, stated that his company plans to purchase a batch offully automated equipment, which is highly demanding in precision. Theequipment can improve the company's products and push the products from themiddle to the high end.

“The production equipment newly purchased by W-OLF is mainly applied toface biological recognition.” Chen Zhigang, the sales manager of OPTORUN, hopesthat this cooperation will help W-OLF obtain more domestic and internationalorders and achieve further breakthroughs in enterprise development.

The reporter noted that on the past two days, the participatingenterprises of Jingzhou have attained desired results, mainly on smart andhigh-end equipment. "The introduction of foreign high-end intelligentequipment is conducive to enterprises to improve automated production, increaseproduct output and enhance quality, enabling enterprise to succeed intransformation and upgrading.” According to Kuang Qikang, Chairman of Hubei Zhaoying Jiatai PrecisionTechnology Co., Ltd., they will have an in-depth understanding of allkinds of smart and high-end equipment and actively seek more businessopportunities at the CIIE.

As the CIIE is in full swing, the participating companies said that theywill make full use of this opportunity to negotiate with high-qualityenterprises from all over the world, comprehensively expand cooperation areas,and contribute more to the high-quality development of Jingzhou.
