Focus on CIIE: Jingzhou promotes multi-field exchanges & cooperation with Iceland, Denmark

On the afternoon of November 6, Deng Yingjun,Vice Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, met with KarlGudmundsson, Director of Promote Iceland and Mads Vesterager Nielsen, Head ofthe Danish Chamber of Commerce in China. The two sides held talks on furtherdeepening exchanges and cooperation.

With profound history and brilliant culture,Jingzhou is a coastal city where ancient culture and modern civilization bringout the best in each other, said Deng. Supported by six pillar industries:food, textile & apparel, pharmaceutical & chemical, light industry& building materials, equipment manufacturing and electronic information,Jingzhou has a huge consumer market and manufacturing potential. He hoped thatIcelandic and Danish friends would visit Jingzhou to learn about it, and deepencommunication and exchanges with Jingzhou in fields such as energy and resourceutilization, environmental protection, tourism and agriculture, to keep openingup new space for cooperation, developing new cooperation channels and enhancingfriendship, thus achieving win-win.

Gudmundsson hoped that the two sides woulddeepen mutual understanding and trust, and promote multi-field exchanges andcooperation through the 2nd China International Import Expo, to achievefruitful results as early as possible.

Nielsen hoped that the two sides wouldcontinue to consolidate and deepen friendship, and tap cooperation potential infields such as agriculture and food, to boost the mutually-beneficialdevelopment of the two sides.
