On the morning of November 8, the Convergence Media CentralCommand Platform in Jingzhou was officially launched,meaning that the development of the convergence media in Jingzhou was usheredin a new phase.
Established in accordance with the Building Standards ofConvergence Media Center at County Level and the Three-YearAction Plan of the Integrated Development of Traditional Media and New Media inJingzhou by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, andState Administration of Radio, Film, and Television, Jingzhou Convergence MediaCenter is a municipal convergence media center undertaken by Jingzhou Radio andTelevision Station. It displays how Jingzhou follows and implements theprinciples of Xi Jinping’s major speeches. Integrating “Broadcast, Television,Press, Internet, Weibo, WeChat and News Apps”, Jingzhou Convergence MediaCenter relies on the technological platforms while combining informationcollection and editing. Featuring the comprehensive information services andomnimedia communications, the Center manages to deeply integrate contentcreation, procedure reproduction, broadcast programming, performanceassessment, and public opinion management among other aspects.

Over 2.6 million users use 23 public platforms based on WeChat andWeibo, such as Jingzhou-Cloud,Wireless Jingzhou, “Jingzhou TV Station” and “Jingzhou’s Voice”, etc.The official launch of the Convergence Media Central Command Platform inJingzhou signifies a major move of the development of convergence media inJingzhou, which will surely be a powerful enabler for Jingzhou to tell itsstory, let it be heard, and enhance the influence, circulation, guidance andpublic credibility of mainstream media.
