Recently, Hubei Provincial Department of Cultural Tourism released the list of the sixth provincial intangible cultural heritage representative projects, which includes 43 projects. Three projects of Jingzhou, namely, silk painting, Gong’an three-beef-delicacy making technique and traditional Guqin refining skill appear at the list.
According to the report, the list of the sixth provincial intangible cultural heritage representative projects is divided into eight categories: folk literature, traditional music, traditional drama, Chinese folk art forms, traditional fine arts, traditional skills, traditional medicine and folklore. Jingzhou’s silk painting is categorized into traditional fine arts, while the other two into traditional skills. And Gong’an three-beef-delicacy making technique, together with Huangpi three-delicacy technique, Sijimei Tangbao making technique, Braised Dongpo Pork making technique and Yichang cold shrimp making technique, is categorized into traditional food making technique as a whole.
At present, Jingzhou boasts 9, 39 and 87 national, provincial and municipal intangible heritage projects respectively. In the future, Jingzhou intangible heritage protection center will take the integration of culture and tourism as an opportunity to continue to do a good job in the protection and inheritance of intangible heritage projects, promote the rational use of intangible heritage projects, and foster the deep integration development of culture and tourism.
