Contributing the Power of Jingzhou to Anti-epidemic Fight in Wuhan, Three Doctors and Nurses from Jingzhou Central Hospital Return in Triumph
Updated: 2020-02-23 08:55:00

On the afternoon of February 21, three doctors and nurses, who are among the first batch of medical workers in Jingzhou aiding Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital, left for Jingzhou after completely fulfilling their mission, and none of them got infected.

At 6 p.m. yesterday, a car carrying deputy director Wang Bing, head nurse Zhang Wenli and nurse Xie Feisi from the Department of Critical Care Medicine of Jingzhou Central Hospital arrived in Jingzhou, and later on drove to a designated quarantine and observation hotel. Leaders and colleagues from the hospital sent flowers and down jackets to the three warriors.

Wang Bing introduced that they are now in good health, and were all tested negative in the nucleic acid testing before returning to Jingzhou. There was no shadow in their lungs through CT screening, indicating they were not infected. Wang felt so proud of the safe return of the whole team.

Head nurse Zhang Wenli said that at the Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital, they wore protective suits in the ward area half an hour in advance each day, and listened to the opinions of supervisors, in case of missing any link. When operating in the ward area, especially exposure operations, they would wear low pressure masks and strictly follow aseptic operations. They must also obey operation standards after coming out of wards, which is a key reason why none of them were infected.

It has been a month since they went to assist the Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital on January 23. Over the past month, Wang Bing's team has stuck to the nearest place to the virus, trying their best to race against time and save lives with the spirits of hard work, devotion, life-saving and boundless love. They have saved the lives of many critically ill patients, which were praised by their peers in Wuhan, and contributed the power of Jingzhou to the epidemic fight in Wuhan.

Back to Jingzhou, the three warriors will undergo 14-day self-quarantine in a designated hotel.

“I wish to make a good summary of my working experience in the Jinyintan Hospital, and review the gains and losses, so as to learn experience,” said Wang Bing. “I would like to devote myself to the anti-epidemic fight in our hospital as soon as possible, and apply my experience in Jinyintan to Jingzhou.”
