Supermarkets, hotels and hair salons in downtown Jingzhou reopen

As community and road lockdown has been lifted gradually, the urban economy is yet to be activated. On March 17, the municipal health law enforcement department conducted checks throughout downtown Jingzhou to tighten epidemic prevention and control supervision in public spaces and support stores in reopening in an orderly way according to relevant regulations.

In the recent week, members of the leading group have conducted thorough checks of public spaces in Jingzhou District, especially those that had reopened like supermarkets, hotels and hair salons, proposed specific corrective measures for  problems such as non-standard disinfection, mass gathering, non-use of masks, poor sanitary environment and the absence of health certificate, issued written opinions on health supervision, and ordered problematic public spaces to make immediate correction, to ensure that stores in public spaces reopen according to the guidelines and specifications for epidemic prevention and control in corresponding industries, and that the prevention and control mechanism, employee checks, facilities and supplies, environmental disinfection and work safety are in place.

To date, the municipal health law enforcement detachment has inspected 55 public spaces including supermarkets, hotels and hair salons, and issued written opinions of health supervision. Besides, Jingzhou District inspected 382 public spaces and issued 168 letters of opinions on health supervision.

While inspecting public spaces and guiding work and market resumption, Jingzhou has tightened supervision over karaoke bars, internet cafes, foot massage shops, beauty shops, clinics and other public places temporarily not allowed to resume operations, patiently educated few stores that integrate storefronts with dwellings and opened on the ground of cleaning, stressed that low epidemic risk does not mean zero risk, resolutely investigated and punished the stores that refused to be dissuaded in accordance with the Law on Infectious Disease Prevention and Control, and prevented business places not allowed to restore operations from opening without permission, to eliminate potential hazards in epidemic prevention and control.

With the gradual reopening of public spaces, supervision workload and difficulty will increase. Members of the leading group will step up measures and overcome difficulties, to win the battles of epidemic prevention and control and work and market resumption.
