Updated: 2020-03-24 08:58:00

Today (March 23) the special report-Features of Members of Hainan Medical Team Aiding Hubei will take you to visit Chen Yuting, a post-00 nurse and the youngest member of the Hainan medical team aiding Jingzhou. To fight the epidemic, she had her loved hair cut.

It was the first time for Chen to work in a protective suit. Apart from accompanying doctors for ward rounds and caring for patients, to reduce frequencies of entering and exiting the quarantine ward, she also undertook work such as mopping, disinfection and pollutant carrying. The protective suit made every move harder than before. In a month her colleagues gradually discovered she fears no hardship or fatigue.

Behind the post-00 nurse's story of fighting the epidemic in Hubei is 22-year destiny. Her father Chen Haiqing is an ex-serviceman who headed to Hubei to fight floods and provide relief in 1998. She applied for fighting the epidemic in Hubei under the influence of her father.

To prevent the cross infection of medical workers, the team members must not drop around after getting off work and returning to the hotel. In those days far away from her hometown, she returned to her room and dined alone could not help being homesick.

A guarded kid became a hero in harm's way when she grew up. On the frontline of the fight against the epidemic, young Chen wrote an application for Party membership.
