While fighting Covid-19, Jingzhou has kicked off a spring ploughing mechanization campaign, conducted agricultural machinery overhauls, and promoted new agricultural machinery technologies and implements, to speed up spring ploughing.

A rice seedling raising and sowing line is precisely sowing seeds on a growing tray, new ploughers and rotary tillers are shuttling back and forth in the field, sprayers and drones are protecting wheat in the air…a beautiful scroll of smart agricultural machinery supporting spring ploughing is being unfolded. Spring ploughing this year coincides with the crucial stage of epidemic prevention and control. Jingzhou has organized agricultural production while conducting epidemic prevention and control, and replaced manpower with smart agricultural machinery to advance spring ploughing and agricultural production in an orderly way.

To advance spring ploughing amid the epidemic, Jingzhou has taken the lead in Hubei to issue the Emergence Notice on Advancing Field Operations of Agricultural Machinery and Implements in an Orderly Way in the name of the epidemic prevention headquarters, and coordinated the transport of agricultural machinery, implements and parts transport and field operations of agricultural machinery, to fully support spring agricultural production.

Jingzhou has accelerated agricultural machinery overhauling and operator training during epidemic prevention and control, and over 280 professional agricultural machinery cooperatives in Jingzhou have all resumed work and production. To date Jingzhou has conducted unified prevention and control of 3.67 million mu via socialized agricultural machinery service organizations, ploughed and prepared 820,000 mu mechanically, manufactured over 10 million growing trays and transplanted 400,000 mu of early season rice.
